BOATING ACTIVITIES PARC NATIONAL DE FRONTENAC
Three lakes within the park (Lac des Îles, Lac à la Barbue and Lac des Ours), excluding Grand lac Saint-François, are accessible in canoe and kayak for a few minutes long ride or a day long ride.
Boat circuits
Try our three boating courses which two are located in Southern sector and another one in Saint-Daniel sector:
Lac à la Barbue, Southern sector:
In a rowing boat, discover this water garden where teem water lilies. A circuit of 10 floating panels will guide your exploration. This lake and its numerous marshes are the home of a great variety of plants and wildlife. Featured: the great blue heron, the beaver and the otter. Map of the circuit inside the canoe and on floating panels. Duration: 1h30 to 2h. Level: easy
La baie Sauvage, Southern sector
Go on an expedition and join up the Felton River’s waterfalls! In canoe or in kayak, you can nose about on the small bays or simply let yourself be led by the wind. Its numerous marshes and landscapes of great beauty will impress you. A circuit brochure will be given to you when renting a boat or on request (if your have your own boat). Duration: 3h to 5h (a 1h30 to 2h30 intermediate course is also available). Level: moderate to hard (depending on the wind)
La baie aux Rats-Musqués, Saint-Daniel sector:
Let the adventure get you and explore this bay’s numerous marshes. You will see blossoming aquatic plants and an interesting variety of birds. You might see a fishing great blue heron, a goose family that sails between the rods, or better… a bald eagle flying above you! A circuit brochure will be given to you when renting a boat or on request (if your have your own boat). Duration: 1h30 to 2h. Level: easy to moderate (depending on the wind)
Water discovery guided activities
We suggest you three guided tours with a naturalist park warden in a canoe rabaska to visit natural habitats to observe and listen to the nature and learn more about the region history.

Renting center
From mid-May to Thanks Giving (Canada), you can rent canoe, kayak, pedal boat and long-boat to the following areas: Discovery and visitors center (Southern sector), Escale (baie Sauvage, Southern sector) and Saint-Daniel sector reception.
Water territory
Docking a motor boat is allowed on Sainte-Praxède sector shore and on sites mentioned on page 10 of our park journal. Stay on the water is allowed only in Sainte-Praxède sector. An authorisation is required.
